The RDIS successfully convened its Board of Directors and General Assembly meetings on March 20th and 21st, 2026, in a productive and welcoming environment. The Board of Directors meeting was held at the RDIS Headquarters office in Muhanga, Nyamabuye, while the General Assembly took place at Shyogwe Diocese.
The meetings brought together Board members and members of the General Assembly to review the organization’s performance and plan for the future. Key discussions focused on the progress of RDIS projects, the 2025 financial year (FY2025) report, the current financial status, and the 2026 action plans.

During the sessions, participants reviewed the FY2025 report, highlighting major achievements realized throughout the year. The report demonstrated significant progress in program implementation, institutional strengthening, and service delivery across the dioceses served by RDIS. Members appreciated the efforts made in achieving planned activities despite various operational challenges.

The financial report for FY2025 was also presented and thoroughly discussed. It reflected the organization’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and sound financial management, with clear reporting on income, expenditures, Outputs and outcomes made in the lives of the members in the communities that RDIS works with and for resource utilization.
In addition, participants assessed the current status of the organization and engaged in constructive discussions on how to further strengthen performance and impact.
A key highlight of the meetings was the discussion, refinement, and validation of the 2026 action plans, which will guide RDIS activities in the current year. The plans were aligned with the organization’s strategic priorities and are aimed at enhancing sustainable rural development and community impact.
The meetings were conducted in a positive and collaborative atmosphere, characterized by openness, mutual respect, and active participation. The strong engagement of members contributed significantly to the success of the sessions.
RDIS extends its sincere appreciation to all Board members and General Assembly participants for their valuable contributions and continued commitment.
